Yes. The Starter plan has no monthly software cost: online registration, payment processing, team management, and more for one team and up to 25 players, no credit card required. Clubside earns a small $3.50 registration fee instead, paid by the family at checkout.
Two, and both are published right here. A $3.50 registration fee paid by the family at checkout, capped at $7 per family per season (third sibling on is free). And a small platform percentage on online payments, by plan. Card processing goes directly to Stripe at their standard public rate of 2.9% + $0.30; we never mark it up, and your organization keeps its own Stripe account.
No. Installments cost the same rate as paying in full, period. Most platforms repeat a fixed fee on every installment, which can push effective fees past 9% for the families who most need a payment plan. Clubside never multiplies fees across installments.
The $3.50 registration fee is non-refundable and is disclosed as its own line item at checkout. Everything else about a refund stays between your organization and the family, processed through your own Stripe account.
Absolutely. You can upgrade your plan at any time from your organization's admin settings. Changes take effect immediately, and you'll only be billed for the remainder of the billing period.
We use Stripe for all payment processing, which supports credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH bank transfers. Parents and families can pay using whatever method is most convenient for them.
